Description

The Felicity Solar LiFePO4 5.1kWh 51.2V 100Ah lithium deep cycle solar battery is a specific type of battery designed for solar energy storage systems. Here are some key details about this battery:

  1. Chemistry: It uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, known for its stability, long cycle life, and safety features compared to other lithium-ion batteries.
  2. Capacity: The battery has a capacity of 100Ah (amp-hours) at 51.2V. This means it can theoretically supply 100 amps of current for one hour or 1 amp for 100 hours, though actual usable capacity may vary based on discharge rates and environmental conditions.
  3. Energy Storage: With a total capacity of 5.1kWh (kilowatt-hours), it can store substantial amounts of energy generated from solar panels. This capacity is important for powering appliances or providing backup during periods of low sunlight or power outages.
  4. Deep Cycle: Designed for deep cycle applications, meaning it can be discharged to a significant percentage of its capacity (often around 80-90%) without damaging the battery. This is ideal for renewable energy storage where frequent charging and discharging cycles occur.
  5. Voltage: Operates at 51.2V, which is typical for systems designed to work with solar inverters and other solar energy equipment.
  6. Application: Suitable for off-grid solar systems, grid-tied systems with backup, or as part of a hybrid solar setup where energy storage is needed.
  7. Features: Likely includes built-in Battery Management System (BMS) to monitor and protect the battery from overcharging, over-discharging, and other potential issues that could affect performance and longevity.

Overall, this type of battery is popular in solar energy applications due to its reliability, long lifespan (typically 10 years or more), and efficiency in storing and delivering solar-generated electricity.

Warranties:

All inverters and batteries must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at void.
